i am having trouble breeding to get two of the magic fish and most of them are calling for different breeds of catfish. do i get them through the first set of eggs or second set. all i am lacking is orange snooper and the canary fire- arrow

You can't get catfish from eggs - you have to breed them.

There are also easier ways to get the two fish you're looking for than using catfish. Look on the lists you're using, and you'll find some combinations that use more common fish than the catfish.
