Cheers.
After having played for many and many hours, and having obtained some fourth generation children, we (my girlfriend and I) have noticed a somehow strange disappearance.
A villager (Keopi, in this case) has disappeared overnight. The game has been left runing at "Slow" speed setting (as we always do during "our" night sleep!) and this morning we found that the mentioned villager has simply disappeared. No notices about his "departure" have been found when we turned on the Palm, except info about a storm (again!) that put debris on the beach... We turned off the Palm yesterday evening with 20 people (6 from the previous generation plus 14 from the new one). One of them have been regularly buried (and his tombstone has appeared in the cemetery), but one is somehow missing! Dose anyone know what's this all about?!?
Keep in mind that we are running the game from an inserted SD Card and the Palm Device (Tungsten E2) seems to be having troubles accessing it when short on battery (and this morning the device began to snooze for the energy shortage!)
Maybe this "disappearance" has something to do with the low battery...? We think it doesn't though, since this morning we were able to start the Palm and reopen the game and put it in "Pause", and to read messages of events happened overnight.
We are really hanging here. WE LOST A VILLAGER! How is this possible? Anyone has encountered such a thing? Mybe on Isola, aliens have performed unreported abductions?!?
Thanks for any answer,

The answer to your question is not a simple one, since there are many things that could cause a villager to "go missing" during the course of a game. If you're running v1.0 of the game (unlikely, since you started playing it recently), there is a bug that causes villagers to actually disappear.

Apart from that bug, villagers can seem to vanish from the game for a variety of reasons. How old was Keopi? It would be helpful to know that, so that I may give the most plausible explanation!

Well, yes, we are using version 1.0 and, yes, he was old enough (some 60-70 years old)... Now, since we have v1.0 we cannot (and I guess we'll never be able to) know who have died "regularly" (Keopi or Hoani) and who has disappeared, since we cannot clik on the tombstones to know the name of the buried ones...
Anyway, we are glad to understand that this is caused by a bug rather than a human error (!!!).
Thanks for your help,

I'm always happy to help!

If, at some point, you desire to upgrade to v1.1, you can do that at no additional charge. Your registration code for v1.0 will work with v1.1. Just make sure that you are ready to start a new game before you upgrade. The savegames are incompatible, and v1.1 will delete any v1.0 savegames that it finds. You can get v1.1 of Village Sim for Palm from here: http://www.ldw.com/zips/vs1_1.zip
