I have been trying to make babies for days now, and with no luck. I get them to embrace, and then they head to the hut. I have had this happen atleast 59 times and NO BABIES. What am I doing wrong? (or need to do?)

First, make sure that the women have not yet reached the age of 50, since females will stop producing children at age 50. If they are younger than 50, then you need to be persistent (sometimes very persistent) - just keep dropping them on each other (affectionately known as 'speed-breeding') until a baby appears. You can also try a different pair of villagers, since they might get along better.

Since I've never seen it happen, a baby will just appear after they come outside the hut, or should I be waiting 9 months (game time)?

it is possible for mothers to die while nursing the baby??

It is possible I believe, although thankfully it has never happened to me. It did happen a couple of times in VV1, though. In such a case the baby is lost, too.

Once i had a villager. Every time she was dropped on someone, pregnant. She was an adept parent. Is this why?
