I went on my game on my pod and I got sadly Hoot had passed away and I thought it was strange after got a second email it was a proposal of marriage and she is 45 and he was 46. I also wondered why IT did not take me straight to the next gen page.

I am afried to say I must of not discovered Hoot must of died because he was sick and hungry as I discovered that her health had droped I healed her quick.

That IS weird! Was both her husband and fathers name Hoot? And Hubby is the new Hubby? I've read that in the desktop version if a spouse dies and there are no children then the surviving spouse can get another marriage proposal and if they're able to, have children. I've never had it happen to me though.

I think she had 3 children in her first marriage, but it is a bit confusing

Something really abnormal happened in your game! Are you able to save backups just in case something happens to Boots and the Next Generation option doesn't come up?

I don't think you can make backups on the ipod apps games. Anyway the good news I had an adoption event and now have 2 kids to choose from to take over the house in the next gen. The bad news is little Limbo will be alone in the house at the age of around 7 or 8 when his brother goes to collage as Boots has now died age 65. I don't want to choose the next gen as I don,t want Limbo having to leave the house and grow up too fast.

I have the game on a laptop. I just opened the game and the wife died and there was a marriage proposal. He is 58 and his new wife is 55. Neither have children. I guess this game may be over.

I have a question: how does this new marriage shows on the Family tree?

I hope you go ahead and keep trying for a baby. And perhaps they'll even get an adoption event. And, just for the fun of it, throw in some Baby Boost if your peeps can afford it.
