It's actually a blessing in disguise. It has made me seek out the smaller, locally & privately owned businesses, e.g., LDW. I've been in the public service for years and believe you me, service sells, and that's a rarity in most big department/box stores. I'm also 'fearsly' patriotic, noting to do with flag & country, but all about supporting locally grown/made products.
Like you, when at 35000 feet above ground, I also prefer an inside seat, mostly because I sleep the time away.
