Just recently a family member pass away in Virtual Families. Right after that their only child celebrated and become of jealous of a new baby. There was no new baby. Here is a screen shot.

Yes, that's been talked about before, but hasn't been fixed yet.

I wouldn't call it a glitch. The poor child is just experiencing some very confusing emotions and isn't quite sure how he feels.

Uh, no. Maybe in real life it could be, but this is a game and that is a known bug.

I've had the same thing, only it was an adopted daughter, and she was excited about the new baby. The mom is 64, the dad passed away, and both girls were depressed.

I had an adopted daughter that was constantly jealous of a new baby that never existed (plus many other negative traits - subsequently I actually used a backup save game file to remove her hehe!)

Speaking as an only child (so I don’t know) I think the jealousy thing is a bit unrealistic and so shouldn’t be part of this game....others may disagree however a little child acting-out out of ‘jealousy’ ?

It’s a little bit too much, and quite hard to deal with as an onlooker...

I had an "Excited about new baby" I just thought he meant himself.

I never had any children having feelings for the siblings

Neither excited nor jealous.

I had one that was jealous of the new baby after a parent died. Also had one that was said he was lonely and went and sat by the shed.

It happened to me three times. the first was while the parents were still alive.
second the one parent died. And third, his mother died his father was 60 and he felt jealous about "the new baby"(!) and a second later he was "happy"about the new baby who didn't exist. he was the youngest kid too.
