and 58 is way too young to die, especially as they did not smoke or drink, they should be like my mum who is 81 and still looks after me and I am 41

I Have just realised... they will not put the food away when I buy it ? I have noticed that only kids from age 14+ help with that , they have 567 food in fridge, I think I should start again!! although it is reasonable for me to ask the developler why the kids cannot adopt a parent ?

They won't put them away, but the groceries will still show up in your stock. If you really don't want to have kids running around without parents, you could choose to hit the generation button on the family screen. The game will jump ahead till the kids are in their 20's.

It is only available after one or both of the parents pass away. When this has happened, click on the Family button, and above the family tree, the Generation button will have become active.
