I've searched for the answer to this question, but couldn't find anything. For example, if you praise a child for taking out the trash, and you pick that child for the next generation, will the adult be more likely to take out the trash? Just curious if behavior modification carries over into adulthood. Does praising the teenagers for doing schoolwork make them more likely to work on their careers? Or do you start over with a clean slate when you pick one to start the next generation?

I think in general, no. You basically start "fresh" whenever you start a new generation.

BUT!!! It seems to me (and it may just be the luck of the draw) that if you praise a kid for "playing office", "playing in the workshop" or "playing cook", they seem to be more likely to have that career.

I haven't really tested this out, but the few times I've praised a kid for that kind of behavior, that was the career that they got.
