Probably not the best time to get hooked on VV3, just as you're about to leave on vacation, I agree. smile

Whatever you do, DON'T forget to pause the game before leaving, or you'll probably come home to an amphitheatre full of skeletons. wink

It's been awhile, how are you doing with your games?

I too am playing VV and VF on my iPod.

VF pros and cons
While I like getting to know each family member regularly, I really hate it when the kids go off to college and the parents just do the same old thing every day. They don't even have visitors. And then, they're gone... I'm in my 3rd generation, and I'm not looking forward to the transition. Since LDW has them dying young for most elderly in our society, I'm tempted to just take a "vacation" and come back to a new owner. At least there is more money in the bank! LOL

But I do enjoy the more "personal" interaction: their occasional emails to me, their waves when you buy groceries, and squaks when you pick them up.

Right now, my village population is around 30. I can't find the Master Builders as there are so many people running around. If I find one and plop him/her by any building, they may move off. [Admin edit to hide spoiler]:

I know I have 3 masters, and I want to get that crate opened before the eldest does her thing and departs. Or it will be a while before one of the adepts gets a promotion.

The fun here is seeing the amazing animation, such as the numerous tiny tots running like tiny trains all over the place. You are more involved with a greater number of ppl. And though they don't speak to you, you do have an influence in their lives.

I really understand. After you get most of the trophys, you kind of get a little bored. I'm on my 12th or 13th generation of most of my fams, and sometimes I just leave them on and go away for a week or so...making sure they have enough food in the fridge.

Then, when I'm ready, I go back...usually finding the kids have gone off to college and the parents elderly or on the bed. I start a new generation and my interest renews.

Although finding all of the collectables can be a challenge, I really wish that there was more to do after the first 5 generations or so.

I really think that the LDW game didn't realize how attached we would get to our peeps and fams. We'd really love more upgrades and maybe other houses and challenges to meet after the basic 100 have been met.

I am with you guys!!! I will NEVER get the collectibles because it takes way too long. I have more fun with a new game. I wish they could buy a bigger house with different rooms. Maybe a totally new setup for the house. That is my modding in me talking though. But definitely more to do!!! But, I sure am attached to my little kidlets. I am excited to see what they will think of with the next one!!!!!!
