I don't know if anyone else has asked this question but I was just wondering about Window 7 and all of my beloved LDW games.

I would rather be able to play these games than to upgragrade.

I have tested all of our Windows version games on Windows 7, and they work fine. Enjoy!

Poor me. I really don't understand. VV3 was running ok on Vista. After I install Windows 7, I couldn't launched it. Error is application crashed T_T The others like VF or Plant tycoon are still running normally.

It would help us if you could provide more information, such as a specific error message or more detailed symptoms of the problem you're experiencing. Crashes can have many different causes, and it would be difficult to speculate why VV3 is not working now.

Did you purchase VV3 directly from LDW, or did you purchase it from another game site? The reason I ask is that it could help isolate the cause of the problem to the game or to the DRM software. If you're not sure where you purchased VV3, you can look in the lower-left corner of the game's menu screen and there should be "LDW" to the right of the version number if you purchased the game from us.

Lucky me, I reinstalled it and it worked properly <phew>
However I have to play it from the begining.

A corrupted game or savegame file can cause crashes, and that appears to be what was causing the problem for you. I'm glad that reinstalling the game got it working again, even if you had to start over.

I just had to get a new one and it came with Windows 7 also. So far the only game I have downloaded is my VF. I got through the first quirk of it not starting.
My problem now is that it no longer goes full screen. It's set on full screen but is more like half screen. It irritates me so bad that I just don't play it and haven't bothered to download my other 3 VV games. Now, I have been waiting for VV4 and now I'm not going to see the sense in buying that either.

I am hoping that this is just a simple setting issue that maybe someone can help me with. I miss my little peeps!!

That sounds like a problem with your video card or driver.

I hope it's not. I just bought this laptop last week. If fact, it's not even a week old. I had to replace my old one. My old laptop was Vista and all my games ran fine there.

I downloaded my Hotel Dash game and same thing. It's not just this game, it's probably going to be all games. I even downloaded some kind of .net thing from the Microsoft website. They have lots of ppl saying the same thing about games.

If I find a solution, I'll be sure to post it for future users who may run into this problem. So far, I'm just stuck. lol

On the off chance - are you perhaps running Firefox Web browser at the same time? If so, try closing it, then open the game. Let us know what happens.

I have windows 7 and Firefox browser and Mozilla e-mail client.
Most of the time I play a game with my browser and emailprogram open at the same time.
I don't have problems with the VV games, VF, PT or FT, so it must be a videocard or firewall issue I guess

Do you play the game using fullscreen, which is the issue here? Is Firefox minimised to the taskbar or simply running open in the background?

Firefox usually is open because I multitask a lot, same goes for email and other programs at the same time, as said also LDW games.

I do not play fullscreen, that looks terrible. because my screen is flat, all villagers, plants etc. look like they need a diet, but technically I can play also on fullscreen

It probably is due to the screenresolution, mine is at 1280 x 720. try different settings if this does not work

No, I don't have Firefox running when I am trying to play. I double checked to be sure. Still nothing. This is my first Toshiba, and Windows 7. I really am considering taking it back. I was just getting used to it, but I just can't spend $900 on it when I am not able to do what I love to do most. I haven't quite had it 2 weeks yet. I do wish I could figure it out though. I have about a week and a half to decide, miracles can happen. I sure hope one does.

That's a shame in a way. I heard of someone else with Windows 7 having problems with playing games fullscreen when Firefox was running so I wondered if your situation might be similar. Apparently not ...
