Hi Jersygirl,

Your Sprite probably has multiple problems which led her to such confused behavior. She's feeling down because her husband died, with the added problem that she is also weak. Being weak is usually caused by an uncured sickness, not because a spouse has died. Not catching an illness right away and curing it will cause weakness - and bizarre behavior.

I don't think I have ever had a peep both feeling down and weak at the same time. Feeling down or depressed because her husband died would not lead her to the sandbox or the toys, but being sick and not being cured would. She's holding her stomach, which means she is sick and needs medicine. This poor little thing needs help! Give her a doctor's consultation so she gets the right medicine (sometimes more than one kind is needed) and an energy drink, along with lots of praise, fruit and candy she will perk right up again. Antibacterial gel and vitamins will also help. Also make sure she eats a full meal and that there's plenty of food in the house. If she's gravely ill and not given medicine, she will probably die soon.

Sorry I have no photos to post of anything like this and doubt that many would. The worst I have seen is adults sleeping in the children beds and children sleeping in the adult beds after they've been given a strong medicine to cure them of a grave illness, and an energy drink will fix that. Usually spouses left alone after their husband or wife dies will carry on their lives normally even if they are depressed.

I am posting a photo of a 5-year-old in one of my past families who felt lonely and a bit blue after I changed her twin sister's dislikes, but not hers. She woke up the next morning and went and sat down in the backyard. This made me feel bad because I never saw anything like it before and didn't know what to do for her. I was at a loss. I gave her a doctor's checkup, but she wasn't sick. Once I used a desensitizing kit on her too and changed her dislikes to match those of her twin she perked right up again.
