I am new to this and I had a few questions.
When do they go to the next generation and how?

You get the option of moving to a new generation once one of your adults passes away AND they have previously had children. No children to take over the house, game over.

To quote LadyCFII: "If you tap the "Family" button on the main screen, you will be taken to the family tree, where you should see a button at the top labeled "New Generation." Tapping that button will take you to the screens where you can select the child who will inherit the house and bank account."

The main screen refers to the screen that is open when you are playing the game.

I have to say thankyou very much for your help.
See my family has had 6 kids and they have all gone off to college now it is just the two of my first people. They are at the ages of 57 and 56 and I have read on here that they die around the age of 60.

The ages the adults die can vary alot. I have had adults die when they were only 57 and 58 years old. Then I have had adults live to be 67 and 68 years old. My cousin had one of her adults actually make it to age 70! So don't be surprised if your adiuults live past the age of 60!

See I wasn't sure if they would live past the age of 65. Thankyou for clearing that up for me.

Okay it happened today I came home from school and checked on my people and well they were laying in the bed side by side. It was sort of sad cause they had been married for a long time I just didn't get to see how old they were when they died.

JackieO,

I agree. It's a shame we can't tell how old they were. I hope the transition to the next generation went smoothly.
