Jersygirl, I would personally recommend VV2 and VV3. They're all kind of slow, but they're a big improvement from VV1, and if you can handle the slowness they're a lot of fun. I enjoyed them a lot.

I agree that VV2 and VV3 were better choices. and I didnt really like the Golden Child but if he is in one of the future VV games there could be improvements, for example no random parties. He would just help by giving food and taking care of the villagers. He could also be able to teach some of the villagers differnt skills from a young age.

That's true red dragonn1. Though there was no real need for the villagers to work after the GC, so it really makes you lose interest in the game even if it wasn't for all the aggravating interruptions he causes.

By the time he was introduced into the game they didn't need more tech points, though they always have to farm. The GC was always producing magic food, so there wasn't much point in the farmers work anymore. I'm sure some of you liked the GC as much as I disliked him. Lol! I didn't like anything about him. For me he totally ruined the game.

Not meaning to be rude here, but I know the admin doesn't like us to keep on and on on a topic like this. So before they put a lock on it I think we should just be done with it ourselves. smile Having said that I can't wait for VV4 and hope it will be one we all can enjoy. Big hugs!

Let's stay on the topic of the VV1 GC please. smile

The Golden Child doesn't necessarily have to come at the end of the game. It is possible to have him in the game before all the other un-related puzzles are solved. wink

With that said, the unique challenge becomes trying to complete the rest of the puzzles with the interruptions that are given. It didn't have to be the GC. It could have been a monkey. It could have been a series of unfortunate events. Either way, it is a unique challenge to completing the game. smile

I understand why so many don't like him, and I imagine that there would have to be certain changes that the masses would require before LDW puts him, or another like him, in the another VV game. (For instance, I think they did a great job with the chief of VV3.)

Let's give LDW the benefit of the doubt here. Arthur is a brilliant game designer, and cares a lot about our desires and suggestions. I have full confidence in his team that they would do an excellent job if they brought the GC into another game. laugh
