I'm thinking of starting over all 5 of my games. My peeps have pretty much accomplished everything in life - they have all the upgrades and almost all the trophies. But, I'm not sure I'm ready to part with my current families. (If anything went wrong, I would of course have kept an archived copy of the previous families' gamefiles).
What do you think? Should I keep trying for those last few trophies? Or should I start over?

When I am left with only a couple of things to go and I can't seem to get what is left, I just start over. It makes me sac but it is also fun to start brand new! I just know that I get bored when I can't buy stuff and upgrade things! Just my opion!!!

Why not save all of the gamefiles, and restart just one of the games to see if you like it? Then you can restart the other ones if you wish!

Some fun things to do are starting a rainbow family, looking for rare children, experimenting with mods, and why not try to fill a family tree with every head there is in the game?

I would keep playing my best family, the one that has the hardest trophies to get already, or even a favorite family, and keep trying to get all the trophies for that family while starting your new families.

I know what you mean vfmacfan. If it wasn't for all the mods that everyone is creating I would have lost interst in the game months ago. I've been playing since the end of April. I bet LDW had no idea that the mod section would become anything close to what it is... which is that it's truly amazing!

I too have created my own challenges to conquer in the game.

I'd keep 3 families (my favorites and those with the hardest trophies to get, like the Perfect Match) and restart 2.

I'm keeping family #1, and restarting the other 4.
One will be a rainbow family, hopefully. The other 3 will just be regular families.

Edit: All the new families are happy and healthy, none are rainbow families but when I get all 100 trophies in family 1, I will restart it as a rainbow family.

vfmacfan, if you get to this point again and are reluctant to give up your fams, you could always start 5 new games by renaming the game. Look here to see how to do it.
