I discovered Fish Tycoon yesterday and I am hooked! I downloaded my game from AOL and have been playing ever since.
I have some strategy questions. I started off with my orginial eggs and purchased another set of common fish eggs.
Let's say I stumbled upon a Topazfined Gemfish (so it's not a spoiler) and was able to successfully breed them and sell them for $60 each. Is my best strategy to sell off all other fish, breed and sell that one to buy a second tank and research the environment? Or can you flood the market and not be able to sell one type of fish for long?
When breeding fish, if the offspring die at 5 years old, is it a safe assumption that breeding those fish at your current level is not a good idea?
Will someone come do my laundry and cook our meals so I can play more?

One more question. Do customers get angry if you sell out of fish and have none to sell? I had 20 fish to sell this morning and left the store open while I fixed breakfast. Came back to lots of people and no fish to sell.

Hi Topaz! You are definitely headed in the right direction finding a good selling fish to get money! While breeding for variety is fun ... you do need the research to make those babies live. You are on the right track with everything. And, customers don't seem to hold a grudge if your store is empty. They are quick to return when more fish are added. My hubby had to learn how to cook and do dishes. He hasn't gotten the hang of the laundry, yet. .... Fishies are soooo much more important!

LOL! My husband cooked dinner last night, my 9 year old daughter thinks laundry is fun.
The only problem is that my husband wants to play and I won't let him. There should be a limit of one addicted person per family and I get to be it.

Yes! One per household should definitely be a rule! My grandkids love the game, and I really do like the fact that they enjoy it .. but.... I can't feed my fishies when they are playing! And right now I'm into the breeding "billions of little fishes to get a high score" thing ... and every minute counts! I know there was life 'Before Fish Tycoon' ... but I can't seem to remember what it was!!!!!!!!

I managed to stumble upon a second magic fish, it barely lived long enough to count before it died. I was in the process of researching level 3 and now that I've got that, I'm going to try again to get a new one. I still have both parents and they are pregnant now. Hopefully with the level 3 environment, and the level 2 food (research level 3), and all the plants, they will be healthier.
