I have 5 families going and am on 8th, 9th and 10th generations- for some reason I can barely keep my peeps past age 60- many of them die around 57-58yrs.

Its very frustrating- I have the RealArcade version so I know I cant upgrade for the younger age trophy of 65- so getting the 70yrs trophy seems completely out of reach and unfair.

I have tried everything to keep them alive longer- they have the air purifier and bathroom upgrade. 3 out of the 5 have the treadmill (gosh I wish they use that on their own) and I have the parents get on twice a day unless they are too exhausted for the evening session.

I only buy organics. I give them a doc checkup after being sick (providing I have over 1,000 in the bank). If they have been sick i hand out vitamins and hand sanitizers when I have them.

I make them sit for a meal at least once a day (twice if I have time).

I clean the house everytime I get one (usually twice a day) - getting rid of trash, weeds and dirt spots.

So far I have managed to have at least 2 children in every family.

They will walk around elated and healthy and the next time I check on them- they are on their deathbed.

One thing to note- I paused the game a couple times while one was lying in repose before the ghost came- I had the doctor check them and guess what- doc said they were fine- then why were they dying?

I honestly don't know what else I can do to make them live longer- I know its possible- many stories of getting way into the mid 60's here. The oldest I have ever got- once- was age 62.

Are there any other suggestions that I should try.

Thanks.

I suggest you contact Real Arcade, as they have an updated version (1.00.05) that changes

the trophy age from 70 to 65.

What usually helps me to get them to use the treadmill on their own is to praise them after putting them on the treadmill. I find that anything I praise my people for, they'll do again on their own.

I also praise them for any health-improving activities, whether I have them do it or they do it on their own, and I give them the hand sanitizer and fruits after they are sick, when they are available.

Something else I do is to give them the fruit to praise them, when the fruit is available. Not only does the fruit praise them, but I've noticed that it also boosts their health, their energy, and raises their fed bars a bit.

Also, maybe try having them sit down to a meal three times a day.

I hope this helps!

You really should keep pestering Real to get them to release 1.00.05. Among the improvements was
Quote:
Adjustments made to allow greater player influence on longevity

That's in addition to the dropping of the age for the award from 70 to 65. Certainly in the first couple of weeks when we were playing the earlier releases I never saw a peep over 60, but once the latest version was released it became quite normal.

RealArcade is known already as not giving the proper version and support to the customers and there are lots of people that have complained and even phoned them. frown

I hope they do decide to release the latest version although the only noted update from .04 to .05 was some fixed emails in regard to the names that show up there were tons of updates from earlier versions.

I'm 58 and after playing this game for a while, I'm starting to look over my shoulder for the Grim Reaper. I have lots of friends older and younger, but I don't know one single person who creeps around slowly at the age of 55. I don't understand why grandparents were not incorporated into the game.

Why doesn't RealArcade update to the latest version? That's not very fair at all! What version DO they have on there, just out of curiosity? Anyone know?

agree, Agree, AGREE!!! I'm on the cusp of my 50's and while I may not be able to do the stuff I could do when I was in my teens, I'm still pretty active!!

I guess when you're 20\30s you think 50's is old...when you're 50, you think 90 is old!!

Grandparents would be a GREAT addition to this game. Maybe upgrades to build a grandparent addition?

I misread that at first to say "Maybe upgrades to build a grandparent?" laugh grin

I know this isn't what you meant, but I actually would LOVE to have grandparents in the game! ...and teenage girlfriends for the boys and boyfriends for the girls who might or might not end up getting married for the next generation! Is this a possible upgrade or is it too monumental to even consider??

Well, I'm turning 60 this week, and I sure as heck don't walk like that, either! Gees! shocked
