Well I am not sure I would agree with your statement "prematurely gray @ 45" My RL wife is only 40 just turned 40 in fact... and has gray hair LOL... And to top that off I am bald and only 38...... My hair loss started in my 20's... and I let my beard grow out last winter and it had gray hair in it..... LOL
