I am sorry if this is a duplicated question. I tried a search and found one that covered VV, but not VF. We now have a new computer with Vista, to change when new one comes out, and a fixed xp. The old one is on its dying gasps. Meanwhile, my vv2 and VFs are standed on that dying computer. I read the explanation for vv2 which I did not really understand, but hope a friend who knows computers but not games can help me do. But I could find nothing for my vf. When I copied all the files from vv2 and put them on new computer, the game started ok, but not my people I had going. I didn't eeven try vf. I just hope I don't lose everyone before I can get some help. I put so many hours and so much of me into them. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks a million!

There is a section in the LDW FAQ section that addresses how to properly backup your savegame files and have them switch over to another computer:

There is also a section for installing the game on another computer:

Make sure you put in your savegame files after installing the game onto your other computer just to avoid it getting overwritten with a blank one.
