I've searched the interwebs, and searched a good portion of the boards (Please forgive me if this has already been addressed), and I'm still sorta unclear....

Once your first generation VF dies, and you continue on with one of their children, will they be able to get married or have children themselves?

Thanks guys!! grin

Yes. smile That's the only way to continue your game and get all the trophies. I'm on my 12th generation. Welcome to the game and the forum RaeRaeAvis. smile

Thanks guys!! I read somewhere it wasn't able to happen, so like an idiot I started over my last game. Now, my current family is pushing 60 and I just wanted to make sure to do the right thing once I continued. grin

You're very welcome RaeRaeAvis. smile I looked in the Online Guide and didn't see any info for you on how to start a new generation so I found you a post from Lewanda. You can read it here to learn how to start a new generation once one or both of the parents "pass on". Just make sure they've had children first. smile

One more quick question. Do the Marriage proposals come in instantaneously as they do when you first start?

Yep! As soon as you start the next generation, that is, choose someone to inherit, the game goes back to the same way of working as the first gen and starts sending proposals. smile

Yes, but as with any generation, the more times you refuse a proposal, the longer it is before a new one comes along.

I allways take the first proposal.I made the mistake of turning the first one down one yime.It took forever to get a second proposal.

I turn several ones down, and they keep coming.

Hint: close the program, wait for like 15, 30 minutes and them open it again. I noticed that every time I do that I have new mail - it can be some silly mail or a proposal. smile

Your welcome emri!

I'll have to do that myself lots of times on my next generation: I'm just missing one trophy of perfect match. smile
