This family is driving me nuts! In generation 1, mom was almost always sick, weak, tired, etc. She lived to about 65, and only had two children.

I chose the daughter (gen 2). She marries, has 5 kids, but now she and husband are weak/exhausted all of the time. I have given doctor consults (multiple times- always says no infection), upgraded the house (they have most of the upgrades), given fruit/vitamins/etc, made them rest, on and on. I do not play the game after 9pm, and my other families are doing fine with regard to rest.

Any suggestions as to why this particilar family is ill/tired/weak/depressed? I check them daily (or more), food is always over 1000, they have over $30,000 in the bank, and I have bought all the toys they could want. What gives? (Note: all kids are in college)

There are many topics that deal with weak/depressed family members. smile I'll do my best to sum it up though.

Their health goes down when they are sick and once they are cured, it will naturally raise but it takes some time. You should continue giving them the fruit, vitamins, hand gel etc to encourage their health.

Making them go to bed or take a nap does not necessarily restore their energy. You can get them energy drinks if you do want to raise it with the game open, otherwise you need to let them rest undisturbed when it is late at night. When you open the game while it is late in the game, their energy will significantly lower.

Best of luck with your families!

Yes, it's exactly what Lyss said. I would add spending some time with them on the treadmill - this way their health and energy bars are going to take a while to go down.

It also helps to encourage (green glove) all exercise type behaviors. I've also noticed that sitting down to a meal can help.

If they are depressed,
Click to reveal..
a good thing to do is give them candies (even better in the case of fruit, as it increases both help and mood, and make the adults work and children play, upgrade the house or make them watch DVDs - this will make them happier)
