LOL. Since I have only online classes this semester, I get to sleep in really late. I wake up around ten or eleven, feed my cats, watch 12 fish cluster up in the corner of my tank (my otos just stay in the back of the tank), feed them, then cruise the net or work.

i miss our fishtank...it was lots of fun, but when we moved into our new house, our last fish died, and we just drained the tank and put it in storage

then 4 days before christmas 2005, my beloved dalmation Hollie died at the foot of our bed. so i have been reluctant to get another pet. we have another dog Ginger(shepherd husky mix), but man, i sure miss my baby girl.

here is a pic of Hollie about 10 minutes before she died (due to kidney failure, 9 yrs old)...we were gonna have her put to sleep that day, but she passed an hour before we could take her to the vet. i guess she wanted to pass at home with her family *sniffle*

Awww. Hollie's pretty...

I had a dog too. Amber Sky. She was a yellow lab/chowchow/samoyed mix... smart as a whip and a brat. She knew two languages.

She ran away last summer... my father left the gate open and, well. she was gone. It was during a really bad heat wave, and since she hadn't shed all of her Samoyed fur coat yet, we figure she died in the heat. I miss her still.

My cats and my fish keep me from missing her too much!

thank you, she was a beautiful dog, more like a person really. she used to stand on her hind legs and smile and hug us when we got home each day from work. we miss her so much!

sorry about your Amber Sky, that must be worse than a pet passing away. im really very sorry. im sure someone found her and is taking very good care of her.

do your cats do this?? LOL

awww that is so sad.. I know how it is to lose a beloved pet.. they are just like family to me. My dog Mitzi passed away 10 yrs ago, I had her for 16 yrs.. and I lost my kitty Ceasar James 2 yrs ago during surgery (at fault of the vet I believe).. I had Ceasar cremated and he now lives on the end table next to my bed. I couldnt bare to part with him. I still have my 6 yr brown tabby cat named Sabrina whom I just had shaved cuz its so hot here in georgia and she was shedding all over the place, boy does she look funny lol But of course shes still beautiful!!! I also have a red eared slider turtle named skipper, have had him for 3 yrs, hes a mess too :P

we had Hollie cremated too. she now rests in a beautifully carved box on the headboard of our bed. she slept at the foot of it for as long as we had her so we thought it was an appropriate final resting place for her!

i bet your shaved cat is a sight!

*grins* I was just starting to teach Sky to walk. With a sign-command. Yes, there's that thin silver of hope.

As for my cats watching the fish... They do more than that.

This is Penda's Delight, my mixed-breed cat. He just loves to, er, mark the fishtank...

Either that or he was reassuring the fish.

"Don't worry, little fishies, I won't eat you. You're way too fun to watch and if I ate you, there wouldn't be anything to watch."

*blinks*

Didja steal my cat??? Your cat looks like my Rohan! Oh, wait, no, I don't see a tiny white mark on his nose. Okay, that's not Rohan.

Here are a couple shots of Rohan... He's a Siamese and Snowshoe hybrid, by the way.

Rohan sleeping under a blanket...

And this is a hilarious shot of him from, ah, Samhain of 2003.

Well, since we're sharing kitty photos... Here's the little guys who've been keeping me away from my precious fishies! As a sidenote, they're up for adoption from today, and they're all wonderful kittens, so if you live in the Bay Area of CA, drop me a PM

*squeals*

CUTIES!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah, cruel fate. I live three hours east of Bay Area, but my house is already too full of kitties. And after the last addition, I'm not so sure that Star (the king) and Thunder (the queen) wouldn't murder the little ones.
