I was amused today when Mom Katrina and her oldest son Johnny both took loaves of bread to feed the fish at the same time. (Still trying to figure out the bread thing.) Then about a minute later Dad Peter took bread to feed the fish twice in a row. How much bread do those fish need? What's in that tank anyway? Inquiring minds want to know!

Perhaps they have the fish confused with ducks...

The birds outside in the bird house also get HUGE loaves of bread. Maybe they really wish they had ducks, and keep thinking that if they feed a lot of bread to the fish and the birds, that they will turn into ducks!

Don't the fish come from Isola? Also, the birds look like the parrots on Isola. Maybe, since Isola is a magic island, the birds and fish can eat whole loaves of bread without problems.

But the little bird in the birdhouse doesn't resemble anything I've seen on Isola... maybe it's just been hiding.

I've never seen anything other than the bird's beak and head appear out of the hole in the birdhouse. Maybe he's too fat to get out all the way as he's been overfed.

Lol! Arnie, that's a very good point If I were a bird, I think that's what I'd be doing anyway. I get the food first, and it's nice and shady inside the house

I think the way the birds and fish get fed just mean that they're spoiled Our peeps can be such animal lovers! Except when they're bothering the poor fish though.

If they did not feed the fish and birds they would be sitting at the table begging like the dog. I wish that one of my peeps would reach down a give him/her a loaf of bread. At least I would feel better, as I worry about the poor dog getting no food or water.

The dog, cat and turtle seem to be a different type of phenomenon on their own The peeps don't seem to notice they're there, and they never pass away.. I kind of think they're more pets for us than for our peeps

You make a great point lystell! I haven't even thought about how there's nothing for the actual pets. I have seen mods in the mod section with pet beds and dishes though.

Talking about pets, I have a funny thing to tell.

After 18 generations with a cat I decided to change my pet for the hamster in a ball.

I was all happy with it and showed to my husband. He freaked out because he said that the hamster was suffering inside the ball and was actually trying to get out of there! *laughs*

So I had to change for the black bunny. *lol*

The Hamster Ball is actually known as an exercise ball! Hamster gets to roll around the house without getting stepped on. tell DH the hamster doesn't actually live in it.

The British comedian, Stephen Fry, told about the time he first saw a hamster ball. He was visiting friends and didn't notice the hamster inside. In a playful mood, he kicked the ball out of an open second-floor window! Apparently the hamster seemed quite happy and unharmed when rescued. I don't recommend anyone tries repeating this, though.

Yep, I know they don't actually live there (and so does my husband) but this particular one of the game runs in a such a frenzy that is kind of desperate to look at! *laughs*

I had to choose between replacing the hamster with the dog, cat or turtle and I haven't seen what the turtle hamster would look like, but I guess it would be much slower The hamster is happy, don't worry I designed it so he can peek out of the ball now and then to show that he can come out if he wanted.

My cat has loved through 10 generations. It would be nice to see the peeps interact with their pets. The don't even interact with each other that much unless you create the situation (like a movie or making a baby).

My cat was there for 17 generations - just changed on this one for a bunny - but I'll be back for the cat in no time (I have 2 in RL, so I can sty away from them on the game too!)

And another nice thing, besides interaction, would be the possibility of having 2 pets at the same time.

And have pet things in the house, like a litter box for the cats that you have to clean once in a while, for instance.

how bout tank for the turtle? maybe a crate for the dog, and i didnt know there was a bunney

I would love a litter box that the peeps have to clean and the option for more than one pet at a time. It would be nice to see some pet food dishes that the peeps fill once in awhile.

I've never seen a bunny or a hamster. Just the cat, dog, and turtle.

Also, I think it's really amusing when one of the kids is looking for mommy or daddy and they walk right passed them and don't even acknowledge that the parent is there.

Thanks. The cat images at which I was looking don't seem to be in a mod or a zip file or anything. Do I just download the image to image file of the game? Does it replace the current cat? I'm not sure the mod instructions will work with what I found.

You'll right click and save the image to your computer, then place it in the image file of Virtual Families. Make sure that the file name is correct. (should be pet_grid.png or something similar)
