frown Aw I'm so sorry about that, that is really depressing..

What happened? Did you leave the game alone for a long time or was there not enough food in the fridge? Sometimes it just cant be helped.. they can get seriously ill quickly too.

I had a Weak 6 year old boy today that I hope is doing better now.. about to check on him.

I think they were all sick with stomach ache and maybe Loot got it bad. However they had plenty of food at least 900 units of food when I checked the fridge and I toped it up again.

Oh my goodness! I am so sorry to hear that! cry And what an e-mail you received from Goldi. I didn't know that kind even existed. What generation is your family in?

It's always a good idea to cure illness's as soon as they occur so that they don't develop into something serious. I check my peeps health bar before going to bed at night and if it looks like it's beginning to drop (indicating an illness is likely forming but not arrived) then I pause the game until I have time to monitor it better.

Yeah 900 units of food would typically last a family a lifetime, and you did cure their illnesses which means it just couldn't have been helped this time. frown

Sometimes even after they are cured the disease will come back because they are suffering from a serious or grave infection which is when a doctor consultation would be helpful.

Now that I have over $500,000 in this family I give anyone that gets sick the doctor consult.

Today the 6 year old in my game was sneezing and the rest of his family was sneezing as well, but he was the only one with a Weak status. I used the consult on him and it said he has a serious infection and needs the penicillin.

I always use the doctor consult too, I'm lazy I guess :P Got me a few medical trophies though.
Sorry for your loss Ann, that's so sad frown

I'm sorry for your loss, Ann. That happened to me once too. I think I went too long without checking on them, and even though I cured the illness, I think my little five year old girl was too weak to survive. frown

Thank you for sharing your loss. So sad. I wonder if Loot's dislike of sleeping had anything to do with his early death?

I don't think his dislike of sleeping would contribute to the early death. When their health bar is emptied, I find that's when they pass away as opposed to happiness or energy.

Even at a full health bar, the older ones will pass away as well since they all have their time to go. I just don't think the children are programmed to naturally pass away.. at least I hope not. eek

Oh, that's so so sad!!!! frown

I didn't know children could die as well.

Some of my children got gravely ill, I gave them medicine, left the game and when I returned they were all better.

Is there anyone else in here who lost a child peep?

Hi Annie.

After reading this topic I must confess I had to open the game and see how one of my kids was doing. He got ill but is recovering pretty well.

Maybe you should try
Click to reveal..
and feed your sick peeps with a fruit, or give them one of those vitamins or the hand gel (this latter increases health a lot!)

Wishing all the best for your boy and your girl.

It was my 11th gen I mostly give them it all the time and as soon as their health drops that is. I was just unlucky on this accasion. It was so sudden, at first I thought it was one of the parents and was shocked to find it was one of their children and to find both parents still alive. Never had that happen before. Now as soon as I get home now I check on them before having my own tea. Did not realised that kids could die in this game until now.

I am a lot more carefull now I learnt about this.

I do recall reading a post several weeks back of losing a child.
I am sure glad most of us have not had to experience such a
wrenching loss.
Condolences Annthewhofan.....and glad you had the forum to lean
upon.

Wow! That is about the saddest thing I have ever seen in a game! frown Having lost a child in real life, I don't know what to say either, except this is exactly why I never name peeps in games after people I love.
