There's a little description about what you would get if you upgraded from lite to the full version:

This shows that you do have home improvement choices, but not as many as you would from the full version.

Is your store restocking items properly? As in, do the items in the shop change every 4 hours or so?

You need the floor repair kits from the store to repair the holes in the floor.
