I just had the strangest thing happen. My couple got married, had their first child, the child never grew up and the mother never aged. She stayed 26 years old until her husband passed away at 61 years of age and the baby stayed a baby until I started a new generation. Is there something I can do in case this happens again, she won't work and I could never get her to have more children because she was nursing a baby through the whole game.

I also had a problem with a couple not having a baby, they just never had a child no matter how many times they tried. Her husband died and she received a new match at 50 through email, She was a widow and she remarried, when I came back to the game they had both passed on. I had to start all over and I had completed quite a lot of the collections. Strange! Was this just a fluke?

I hope I'm posting in the right place,if not, I'm sorry. I'm new here and it's a little confusing.

Hi gailK! smile First thing to do when you have an issue with the game is letting us know what version you have and where you purchased the game. If you don't know, you'll see the version number and company name on the bottom-left corner of the main menu screen. It also helps to know if you're running the game on Windows (XP, Vista, etc) or Mac.

There have been issues with time not passing properly in games although I have not heard of one spouse not aging properly.. Typically time issues occur from someone playing with the computer's clock on the bottom-right side of your screen.

As for them not having children, some couples will actually need baby boost to have children. To check this, you'd have to give a doctor consultation to both the husband and wife after they fail to have a child. If they do not need the baby boost, you can still use it to raise the chances of having children.

I'm running vista on this pc. I bought the game from Real Arcade on 5/18/2009 and the version is 1.00.01,RA I did inquire as to whether Real had an upgraded version and they said that they didn't have it but that it was coming soon, they couldn't tell me when. The clock on my pc hasn't changed, I never touch it. The male in the game aged as he should have, the wife and the child didn't age at all.

Thanks for your time

There's lots of different fixes that occured since version 1.00.01, and LDW had sent out the latest versions to all vendors so they shouldn't have any excuse to not have it..

This is why it's best to buy it from the vendor's website >_<

Here's a list of fixes that came in the other versions:

Fixes in 1.00.02
- Unleashed several dozen missing behaviors. Get ready to see your family doing some new stuff.
- Tutorial no longer blocks checking of email for office career peeps
- Fixed some breeding bugs

Highlights from 1.00.02 to 1.00.05:
- Life event notifications were sometimes mixing up people's names when it coincided with someone going off to college. Fixed.
- People will sleep to a higher level of energy replenishment
- Adjustments made to offline food consumption, in-game hunger and eating. People will overeat less in game-off, and will never starve if there is food available. Expect to see slightly hungrier people when you turn on the game, and much more food in the fridge.
- Adjustments made to allow greater player influence on longevity
- Failsafe put in for refusal to breed
- Adjustments made to a couple of the more difficult trophies
- Working is a bit less tiring, other changes to energy usage and recovery
- Fix to prevent glove loss/corruption
- Emails-to-player now correctly reflect customized names
- New pet behaviors
- Pets no longer show up in store rotation once purchased
- Store rotation now every 4 hours instead of 8
- Story book shop item works now

Also, as stated in a thread by Arthur here:

Doing so will cause your game to revert to a demo, since other game site's activation methods will not work with our version of the game.

Before you can really see if there's a bug in the game, you'd have to get your game updated.. you should try contacting them again to tell them that the update has already been sent out to them. This probably won't turn out too well though, I have searched their official forum and many other users are disappointed with their service and have not received the update.
