How much food do peeps eat a day? And why do my peeps always and I mean always eat? zapping them does not seem to help? However, I am very new to the game. So please forgive me if this is talked about all ready. I can find organic foods. But, nothing about food in general. Thanks again....TrentH80

Peeps eat about 200 food per day per person. You buy food in the store, I recommend the organics grains once you have enough money. 1 pack of standard food gets you 150 units, 1 pack of organics gets you 250 units. They will eat on their own overnight but if they are very hungry just drag someone 14 or up onto the table/stove to have them start "preparing a meal." Then, drag the peeps onto the completed meals to have them eat.

if they're starving and REALLY need to eat, buy them some candy/fruit from the store. Have them fix meals as soon as possible if that happens, but if they're on the brink of death from starvation, get them candy/fruit immediately from the store. If there isn't any, the store restocks every 4 hours. Candy and fruit reinforce behaviors, though, so make sure they're doing something good when you give it to them (studying, preparing a meal, working on career, etc)

As long as you have food in the fridge, your peeps will never starve. Once the Fed bar gets half empty, it will not go too much lower as long as food is stocked.. it sometimes even goes a little higher while the game is closed.

Every year in the game (approx. 3 hours, 30 minutes) they will consume food by themselves but this will not necessary raise the fed bar. You need to get them to prepare a meal and sit down for the meal while you're watching them for that half empty fed bar to go back up near full.
