O.k. I've been playing for awhile now and a few of my families have over a million dollars but I just noticed the other day that when i bought the cooking book for my pesto sauce creator it said that she made some money but in actuality she didnt. the money didnt change and I checked her progress and the level didnt go up either. So my question is does it stop working after you reach a certain level. I think she was at level seven, but on one of my families where the man was on level one and i gave him one of the books it gave him a promotion. Exactly how does this work?

It depends on the level you're on. If you did not have any work cycles completed, the magazines will raise their level by 1 immediately. When you reach level 7, the raise is very unnoticeable.

Each time a work cycle is completed, you only receive a 1% bonus from your daily salary, I'm not sure if that same amount is given when you use the magazines.

When the peep is at level one in his/her career, the mags make the level go up really fast. When they're up to level 3 or more, you get an increase in level, but not as much. By level 7, there is no increase...at least none that I can see!

It will make their level go up one work cycle candy06. When they're in a higher level that's not very much, so you probably thought it didn't. However if you give them to a peep who's just starting out in their career and hasn't made any progress whatsoever it will take them up an entire level. I've used them many times, and the results are always the same, so it's not just sometimes that it happens.

Lyssaria,
Explain how the information developed on giving the work magazine to a nursing mother, please. Here I always thought
the peep had to be 'at work' for the magazine to fulfill it's purpose. Great new information.

Every adult has a career automatically so the magazine will help them advance in their career no matter where they are or what they are doing in the house. Think of it like getting a seminar about how to do your job better grin

Since the nursing mom will not work, I assumed she'd just shake her head at me and say "no" when I use the magazine on her but it worked. smile I suppose reading a magazine isn't too heavy duty. It at least said she earned some money and I think I saw some progress, I wasn't paying too much attention. >_<

How clever of you to try. Love the concept of a seminar.....
makes such perfect business sense.

I've been using the magazines for quite a while on nursing mothers, especially those with their first kid when they're just starting out on their career.

I've never thought it worth posting about before ...
