The change can be so minute that you may have missed it. I also thought it had done nothing until the next day when I couldn't find my original Magic Fish!! Ugh....

I just want to say how amazing i think this game is. finding this website was a dream come true. i have been playing through the game slowly, breeding fish, and upgrading my tanks, and it is the most addictive game i have ever played.

Another thing the unknown chemical is good for, is when you are trying to discover all of the species, and you are at some high number, but not all of them, and you can't remember which fish you have or haven't discovered yet, (Note to self, next time take better notes .) Just use the unknown chemical over and over again on a full mixed tank, after a bit, you will notice your species discovered number has gone up. Yayyy!!

The chemical does work right away and what it actually does is completely changes the fishes appearances from what it was orginally to another speices

I played around with the unknown chemical the other day, just for fun. I had a tank filled with the same species of fish. Then kept adding the checmical until none of that species were in there. Sometimes it changed fins but not body, sometimes body but not fins and sometimes it changed both. It didn't affect all the fish at the same time. I think it took about 30 applications before I had none of the orginial species left.

Cool! I was looking for ideas for something different than the usual to do, and you just gave me one. Maybe I'll try to figure out a different fin - uh, er - spin to put on it so I wont be plagiarizing.
