Have to tell you there are some coo coo things going on. These peeps make very little money during the day. When I check on them the next day there may be 200$ there. They both make about 150$ a day. Only once did I wake up to find 800$ there. Cooky! When they do dance because they made money it's only 1 or 2 dollars. Cooky! Show me da money! Isn't there a savings account where I can get their money from? The kids are studying a lot, don't know if that is good. No one is looking for grasshoppers no matter how many times I try. The youngest, Heather, is continually extremely weak and no matter what fruit, how much sleep, exercise, vitamin, snack, or praise, she just stays the same. No money for consultation. I did that once on her when she was younger-there was nothing wrong with her, not enough money anyway. She still has enough energy to jump on the bed, poke the plants, look for bugs, swim, take showers ect. Cooky!
Any ideas?

There are a few threads that discuss money and how it is earned/paid. This one discusses interest, and this one discusses how money is paid.

Bayou Blonde's index can direct you to many other very helpful posts, including those on issues of being weak or exhausted.

Good luck with your family smile

Hi DeeDeesDay, knksmiles gave you great info. smile Here's something else to think about. I'd forgotten to stock the refrigerator the other day and my peeps had eaten EVERYTHING! When I checked the game, all of the family members status was either starving, a bit weak, or weak! All of their health status's were pretty bad and I didn't have enough fruit, gel or vitamins for everyone. So I immediately bought groceries and had them prepare and eat a meal and I "sat" with them until their Fed status was full. I continued to feed them throughout the day (more than their usual 3 meals). If anyone was sick, I took care of that as well. It took nearly a full 24 hours for them to not be meal anymore (I paused the game at night because I was afraid they might die).

Back when my peeps didn't have much money

sometimes they only ate bread or whatever grocery was cheapest. If they didn't have money for the doctor, I'd wait until they gave me a clue what as wrong (coughing, clearing their throat, etc) and then give them the appropriate medicine. many times it was enough. If they constantly got sick and finally had enough money in the bank, then they'd get a doctor consult. I also didn't buy any upgrades until there was enough money to buy enough groceries.

Going to try to cram all this info in some easy to read points smile
  • Click on the dollar sign next to the money amount on your screen to see more information about their money.
  • When they finish a work cycle, they are paid a 1% bonus of their daily pay
  • Every hour they get a portion of their daily pay
  • There are no savings accounts, the money you see in the bottom-right corner is their total funds unless you accept a proposal from someone with money of their own to add to this amount
  • Studying doesn't seem to have any effect on the children from what I've seen, I could be mistaken. smile
  • The "Looking for Grasshoppers" action is just a random and cute action, if you want bugs for your collection you need to look for them while it is raining and drag a person onto it to pick it up. I also usually see them doing that action during the rain as well as "Looking for Bugs".
  • Ensure that there is always enough food in the fridge to last the night when you close the game, they can starve and get weak from this.
  • Wait a few generations before getting any upgrades because the more money your family has, the more money you'll generate over time. The rich get richer!

Best of luck with your game!

I have all 6 kids out of the house. Got one email from Dwight, but never heard from the rest of them. When do the others get houses of their own or when do they come home?

Once one of the parents passes away, you will get the option to start a new generation or you can wait until the other parent passes away as well.

Once you do start the new generation, you choose one of the kids to take over the house while the others you will not hear from again. I just assume that they're off having their own lives and families as we just watch over this one house. smile

No problem! It would be pretty cool to be able to watch over more houses but as they have kids of their own, there would keep being more and more houses.. it'd get hard to get really close and take good care of any one of them after there are too many eek

You could always try writing a fan fiction story about their lives outside of that house. smile That way you'll still have some control over what happens with them even if you can't see them in the game!

There's a fan fiction section in the forums here where you can share it with us too grin

You could start a new game in a different slot, and reject all applicants for adoption until someone comes along who looks like one of the kids "passed over" in inheriting the house. You could then rename them. It's not really the same, but should work; at least for this generation. smile
