I was just wondering I saw that the max population of a tribe is 90?? right.. My goodness I am going crazy with 17 trying to train feed & keep everyone well. I would like to hear anyones stories about a large tribe they have or have had... Has anyone really maintained a 90 person tribe and been able to keep it going and so on?

Let me hear the stories smile

Dr Dan, once they get that big I tend to lose track of everyone and soon thereafter I tend to lose interest in the game. I like having my tribes smaller. That way you can keep up with your little villagers on a more personal level better.

I stopped playing once my village started getting that populated.. I guess I'm not able to handle anything too hectic frown

It's going to be complete chaos which I suppose could be fun grin Good luck DrDan!

The thing that causes you to lose interest when you have that many, at least that's the reason for me, is that you lose that personal one on one with your fav. peeps.

Yeah, that's true.. I stop seeing them as individuals and more as a lump sum like ants or something eek

Dan, many people let their tribes get to be 90, and when possible even larger. Personally, I always grow my tribes (have multiple slots going) to be the highest possible and love to watch the late-in-the-game actions. laugh

At the point where you have solved all the puzzles, and you are no longer trying to just keep your village alive, you can try out different challenges with them. For instance, although I might select a few that I watch a little more closely, I may try to make an entire village of 90 into master doctors, or farmers, etc. Some people try for entire villages of all blonds/redheads/brunettes, etc. Some for all Jack of All Trades. and so on.

Keeping a large tribe isn't that hard once you've gotten past that breaking point of survival. Some of the funniest things happen when you have a lot of villagers too! In fact, I'm sure that you'll have plenty of stories to share with us if you decide to continue to let your village grow! laugh

When my tribe got too big it got kinda boring... Like Lyssaria said - you don't see them as individuals - so you don't get attached too much.

I would only start my game and keep selecting one or other to change skills for them to master at everything, as there was no other task to be done.

I have 3 tribes of 90 going right now. One of the funny things I've noticed is that one of the young men in one of my tribes tends to attract a lot of female attention. (I have all my ladies under 50 checked for parenting once they've become adept at some other skill) So the constant kissing & running around is hilarious.

Anyway - I tried & tried to train him in various other occupations, but nothing seemed to work. Either some woman would come up & distract him or he just got bored & kept tryng to wonder off. So I gave up & checked parenting for him & decided to let him be the village friend.

my sister has a tribe of 90 sometimes it goess down to 85 but she keeps one male on parenting for his whole lifetime so that her village isn't dead when she is away for a while so I like to keep my tribe small at 20 or 25
