I have 9 out of 10 for the handyman trophy. I had not had a fixer-upper event for several generations, and then there was an earthquake and I had to repair the floor. I thought once it was repaired it would give me my 10th fix and the handyman trophy, but it didn't. Isn't fixing the floor considered a handyman task? I haven't had anything else breakdown for a long, long time.

The handyman trophy is for house malfunctions such as the oven fire, leaking sink, clogged toilet, clogged shower etc etc. They are random events that you can't influence to happen in any way.

The house repairs such as the floors are different trophies.

Broken internet router qualifies also.

I am on my ninth generation and only need 7 more trophies to complete the 100. All are such random events I don't know what the chances of achieving them will be. One of them is the Handyman trophy. I only need one more event to finish that one, but I haven't had a "handyman" issue since about the 2nd generation. Is that because I bought the household tool kit? Has anyone finished this trophy after buying that kit?

The tool upgrade definitely will reduce your chances of having a Handyman-related event so for now you will just have to wait for one to happen. It can take a long time!

I finished the oven fire trophy a few generations after I bought the kit, but I haven't seen any other handyman events since that fire.

They will come, it's just very rare once you have that upgrade.

After I got the trophy I had no more events like that. Not even rarely.

I actually just had one today, the router broke I was surprised because it's been many generations before anything broke down.

I just had the first for several generations, too. The dryer lint caught fire.
