I've been playing for a while and I've noticed that some are shorter than others. Does that affect the peeps children, or is it just random?

I figured they all grow to a certain height depending on their age.. for instance, they will be the smallest at 2 years old but will gradually grow taller as they age. I didn't think that there's any taller than the other Not unless the other peep is older at least.

On the adoptee screen, some of the adults seem smaller than the others. I will check.

Safire I think it has to do with how the artist drew the bodies, and that genetics has nothing to do with it.

Some hairstyles may make peeps appear taller as well

Lol! Lys is right though. Some of the hairdos are 'taller' than others.

Some of the clothing makes them appear larger (or shorter/taller) as well. I've had a guy who looked rather "dumpy" turn into a tall, skinny looking fellow with a change of clothing.

I know what you mean! I actually ran into a head that didn't seem to suit the clothing so he looked a little odd.. a change of clothing definitely helped.

BB and Lys, I've changed their clothing for that same reason.
