I'm curious about everyone's avatar. We all choose them based on something in our lives, or something that is important to us.

I'll start by saying that an "ajuma" (also spelled adjuma or ajjuma) is a Korean woman, married or "of a certain age" who feels that she is special and that the world revolves around her. She pushes in front of everyone in line and has little or no fashion sense.

While I'm not QUITE as bad as a true ajuma, I've learned a lot in Korea about asserting myself when need be.


So, how about you? What does your avatar mean to you?

Well, my user name was picked because that was how I spelt sapphire, my favourite colour, when I was small. And my Avatar is my fav peep in Virtual Families!

My avatar is a pic of the k and k whose smiles make up my screen name.

My avatar has nothing to do with my username. My username was my first name, with two letters removed and one added, and "The Great" comes from my (old) job on Maplestory as a Magican.

My avatar is the Go-Rock Quads, an evil rock band off my fave video game, Pokemon Ranger. I added some sparkles using Blingee and got the picture in an avatar size. :3

My avatar image always shows the latest generation wife and husband in my main family that I based off of me and my fiancé as the founders.

My username I've used in many different websites, Lyssa being one of my nicknames and ria meaning river. Originally, I wanted Lyssara to use "ara" from my middle name Cara but I got used to Lyssaria.

My dog's name is hali (but that was probably obvious), but AR made this Avi for me because I say it quite a bit these days, lol.

I made myself my new avatar! Yay! (my old one was a pink Finder icon, because I have a Mac and I'm female [there was some confusion about that at one point].
But my new one I made using one of the VF peeps because I finally got one (it took 8 generations) that looks like me, and I have a Mac, and I like LDW games! (The LDW program window in the avatar is actually the loading screen of VF!)

Did you know the mac in the picture is a real Mac? I found a photo of one and shrunk it down to really really really tiny scale, then put it in the image and added the LDW logo window :P

Best way to avoid those issues is to try to stay away from the words "he", "she", "her" and "him". For example "Her post can be found here" could be switched with "Lyssaria's post can be found here".

A lot of people assume everyone on the Internet is male before assuming someone is a female Rather old habit.. although the same can be said for the other way around!

I recently changed my Avvie to a character that I think looks like me. (I made it in a program called create.swf, so I didn't draw it)

Just used my name for user. My avatar is my 1968 Beetle named George. I'm in the process of restoring him, but it is a slow process, as he is also my daily driver.

I picked my username because when I joined, I was a Harry Potter fangirl lol. Right now my avvi's of Adam because I'm a diehard glambert. I have another avvi of my fav band Fall Out Boy too Rock on!
