I started a new family in the fifth slot over the weekend. This morning when I opened the game they were doing fine and had three children. I tried to get them to have another but it was 'too soon'. I had go to work, but five minutes before I had to leave I tried again. TRIPLETS!

I also got three awards at the same time: for triplets (of course), for the fourth child, and for the sixth child in the family.
