That chemical won't harm your fish, although it affects only a small percentage of the fish in the tank where it's used. It's best to use it when your tank is full to increase the chances of seeing something happen. It works immediately, so any effect will be observable right away. Depending upon what fish are already in your tank, it's possible to get Magic Fish that way.

There have been several very good discussions about it already. If you search for "unknown chemical" in the forums (make sure that you use the quote marks and change the date range to 1 year), you'll find more than 50 posts that discuss what it does and how people have used it to their advantage.

I don't know if it will happen, but if you have some bad luck you could change a magical fish to a normal one.... or are magical fish imune to the chemical?

Magic Fish are not immune to the effects of that chemical, however that's the risk you take when you use it. If you're particularly fond of certain fish, you should move them to another tank before using the Unknown Chemical!

Thanks, it is pretty sad though. We are paying 3.09 right now in my area. They interviewed alot of people on the news about it the other day and they found a woman who had to pawn her wedding ring for gas! I can't even imagine!

OMG! You know when I bought my current car in 99 or 2000 I could fill the tank for 15.00. Now the needle hardly moves off E for $15.00!

Here in Portugal we also have problems with the gas prices... At this time the curent options are biodiesel, diesel and GPL...
