You just need to let your kids "dig a hole to china". Praise that. Sooner or later, some grown ups want to fill in the hole. Scold that. Then, you should see a cute little gopher head. I don't know if this will work 'cause i never tried it, but drop someone on the gopher and wait. If they are chasing gopher, praise that. And then voila, you have a brand new, shiny trophy.

Oh wow, thanks for the tip! I'll give that a shot next time I see it happening and let you know how it goes. I did get the gopher chasing event in one family, but I still need it for the other one.

If you want the gopher trophy Lys, just praise one of the kid's when it says 'playing in the yard', and they will start chasing the gopher.

Maybe the fertilizer guys are putting gopher deterrant on it.

It's just one of those random events. It has seemed to me that the more little ones you have, the more likely you are to get the gophers! May not be true though! lol

I have a full family of 6 children but none of them ever play in the yard :-(

Guess i will have to wait and see if the kids in the next generation will.

You'll get it eventually Debkat! Just look out for gopher holes on the yard (not the holes the children dig) and try dragging a child onto it if you see a gopher peeking out. They'll start "playing on the lawn" and then it can be priaed.
