What is the average age for the first death in your games? I have my first generation going, but my peeps have hit 58 and 57 and I'm scared to death to leave them! All 6 of my kids have left home and my parents are doing good. I was just wondering if it's likely to be soon. Thanks!

The average for me would be somewhere in the low 60s.. I think the youngest was 59, highest was 68. It can depend on whether you're using organics in the fridge, giving them vitamins, fruits and hand gels to work on their health and praising them when they do good things for their health like work out. Even with all the pampering we give them, it seems to be random when they die and there's not much we can do. Good luck with the parents!

I think the average is 57 on the first generation, moving up on the others. Like txmom my first peep died at 57. Now they live until 65, 68... None reached 70 so far.
As Lyss said, it depends on how you treat them and the kind of food they eat.

You must be treating them very well to still have them around at that age during the first generation! It will be sad, but life goes on as you start over in generation 2 and watch one of the kids become an adult. I find that part exciting and at least makes up for a part of the sadness from losing the parents.

It saddens me to announce that Kin passed away at 10:27 pm on Friday, July 17, 2009. He lived to the age of 61.

Aw, I'm sorry for your loss of Kin kissy I expected to have lost the mother in my avvie.. her name is Zest! She's still walking around at the age of 66.. outlived her husband by 6 years so far.

It's so sad! I was right though, I cried! How goofy is that! I don't know if I want to start the next generation or keep going with her. I don't know if I want to wait for her to die. What happens to the surviving parent when you start the new generation?

When you decide to start a new generation and there is still a parent, he/she gets "kicked out" which means they disappear and the picture on the family tree will stay lit up. It only dims when you witness a person's death in the game. I didn't know about this and accidentally booted out my generation 1 female (who I named after myself) So I made up a story that she lived the rest of her life in a luxury nursing home in Florida. It's all up to you though! It's so hard seeing them pass away and deal with the loneliness and depression.. but I do feel better from letting them live it through and get happy again.

Hi kissy06. I'm so sorry for you loss (and the families loss). I cried when my first peeps passed too. I always let the surviving spouse continue on. I had this one mom who loved the swimming pool and would just swim and swim and swim. There was another who had thing for the treadmill and ran really fast on it! LOL! Remember that one of the trophies is to have a person reach the age of 65. You'll need that for each of your games. So far 4 of my games have it. I don't think my 5th game is going to get it with the current family because I've noticed that they've slowed down quite a bit and they're only 56 and 58 years old. Must have been those triplets they had when mom was 50! LOL!

I felt SOOO terrible when my first peeps died. I wanted to pause it and just leave them as they were...but I went on. Now, several generations later, I find myself saying....ok...hurry up and die so I can try for that "same career" trophy again!

ROFL Ajuma! I hope I get to that point. I know that I need the last age trophy, but no matter where I tried to put her, she just kept going to bed. It was the same side that her husband died on, and it got too depressing to watch. Lewanda, that's a great idea! It would be neat to be able to see a family plot, but only if the surviving parent ends up there too. I'd hate to see one spouse there by themselves.

I do get anxious about starting the next generation now but I still try my best to take care of my peeps. Specifically, when one of them passes at 60 or so and the other one is around for another 5+ years.
