I though this might be a fun topic to start a thread on. If you could respond to the e-mails, both the ones the peeps send you and the ones they receive from others, what ones would you respond to and what would you say in them?
For me, to the one that simply says, "Life is good, gotta go now" or something to that effect, I would just say, "Glad you are happy."
As for the one requesting a new kind of groceries, I would tell them that if they could be more specific, perhaps I could accommodate them.
NOTE: Due to the length that some posts could become, I suggest you only do a couple e-mails at a time. If you wish to do more, perhaps it would be best to repost (reply again). Just a suggestion.
Can't wait to see what some of you come up with. lol

I only really want to reply to the angry e-mail from their neighbor Jo that tells us he's moving.. I want to say "So.. when did you say you're leaving again??"
He needs to get it over with already!

Likewise, Lyss. Or maybe contact the asylum to make sure Jo isn't an inmate. (OT comment, I find the differing opinions on whether Jo's a man or a woman very interesting...)

Good point Krystal! Jo is a female name but for some reason I treat her/him/it as a male I guess in my game, Jo will be an angry male that doesn't want to give us his whole first name LOL

I so agree on the cookie one. That drives me insane!!! On days when there doesn't seem to be that many collectibles around and my peeps are having a 'lazy day' when it comes to work I don't appreciate it when it takes me a couple of hours to build up say $150 for example only to have $100 taken away again because this stupid uncle will keep eating cookies he quite obviously KNOWS He's rotten teeth can't deal with. Besides, aren't cookies meant to be soft and squishy in the middle? how on earth do you cause severe dental problems on a soft chewy cookie? Never mind a dentist! I'd be recommending he see's a psychiatrist lol......:D Oh yes! that and the tax man saying I've under paid my tax by over $400!!!! Ooooh I was furious when that popped up. Just like life these things happen - and there just as infuriating when they do

One of my families just got an e-mail I had not seen before. It said that the kitchen smells kind of funky. I told them to go check the fridge for spoiled food.

I got the one tonight about the boss and his mower, only it was addressed to "Dear [Name]" since the second parent had just passed away. The only child still at home was a depressed 14 year old. I would love to send a reply about how insensitive my mother's former coworkers are to send a message like that to a grieving orphaned child.

i would like to reply to the ones where they keep asking for different grocerys, especially when they have over 10,000 units of organics. I had a guy one time that would send me that email every time i logged on. I finally started scolding him for it. He stopped, then his wife started. i would like to reply "you should be happy with the food you have because family #5 is living off 3000 units of food and has never complained once" lol

They just asked me for new groceries - and there are 13000 of them inside the fridge. Then I was really evil and left the game without buying more for them.

To: Lyssa From: Gage Hello, Life is good! Thanks for all your help... again. Bye for now, Gage That's the shortest "life is good" e-mail I've had so far! I find them much more pleasant than that daily grocery reminder. I just want to tell them "You're welcome! " or even thank Gage for not asking for groceries

I have two cats, and it's the same. My older one keeps asking for food all the time. The funny thing is, for example, my husband feed her and then she eats everything. When I pass by her she asks me for food again - like as if I didn't know she had already eaten. *laughs*

This email gave me a good giggle: He just had to ask for groceries.. I gave them some fresh groceries before Gepetto was married into the family so I guess if he doesn't see it, it never happened I loved the part about the triplets Especially because he was a "No Way" man so it seems to suit his personality.

I'm exercising my evil side on the groceries subject. Every time they ask for new groceries I close the game and don't buy them.
My peeps have about 15000 groceries on the fridge and it seems they are starving! *laughs*

I usually only buy organics for my families. I have noticed when they ask for groceries that if i buy regular groceries they wont send the email again for a little while.

When they ask for different groceries they always say if that's possible. They are begging for treats, FRUIT AND CANDY.

I don't think the treats are considered groceries though as they aren't stocked in the fridge. I give mine treats every day and they keep pouring that new groceries email on me It's a cute thought anyway! I do think they're asking to change it up a bit between organics and regular groceries but I don't want to risk the longevity that organics provide just to get rid of that line in their emails.

Yes, I only give them organics too - and put them to eat as many times as necessary for the bar to be full.

Me too, I agree about the longevity and I only buy organic groceries because the little people do live longer with them and I can now afford to buy them. I consider fruit to be a grocery item, it's certainly a constant on our grocery list, as well as bringing candy home from the grocery store. So yes, I think they are begging for these treats when they ask for some "different kind of groceries". And I think they'll keep asking for them even if the refrigerator is stocked with over 10,000 units of food. They are simply asking for our praise, which they thrive on as much as sitting down to a meal.

Well, that would be true for me sometimes, since I'm gluten-intolerant! LOL I never thought that they were begging for sugar! LOL And I always think of Jo as a woman, because of the book, 'Little Women'

The treats are separate from the groceries as the groceries do include fruit in one of the categories. I'm just going by how the game labels the products Treats can be sold while groceries cant be sold back. I do notice that they stopped complaining after giving them a big load of groceries or if I throw in a regular grocery here and there. In any case, groceries keep them alive and are essential but if they keep getting the same type it could get boring for them!

This isn't one I received from a peep, but I would have loved to reply to it on the peep's behalf (forgot to get a screenshot in time). One was read that came from one of their kids away at college, that I never saw before. This one actually asked his dad to send him some money. Then right after, said he wanted to take a vacation to a tropical island! Well, Mom and Dad certainly didn't have the money to send their son, who was supposed to be working at getting a degree, off to some island. Especially when they never even get to leave the house!
I see the escaping to an island pretty often, but never had a kid ask a parent for money before.
