One of my third generation kids has recently left for college and the family received their first email from him today. He said he wasn't cooking much but there was a good restaurant not far away, he also said "I study pretty hard this semester and can't wait for vacation"!! Poor guy shouldn't worry about vacation, he needs extra English classes!!

Nice catch! I guess he doesn't feel the need to show off his grammatical skills through his e-mails Kind of ironic the botched up sentence is about his hard work studying!

I haven't had any e-mails from the college kids in my family in a while.. I use that to help determine who should continue the new generation.

That sort of makes you wonder what it is that they're actually studying when they do all that studying as teenagers...

Maybe he was busy studying Math, Art, or Food instead of English..?? ... or maybe, his high school courses were something like the following:

> Internet Dating: How to know if your received marriage proposal is a perfect match.
> Repairs 101: How to fix anything from computers to cracked floors.
> Home Mechanics: How to make beds, make coffee, and make your little siblings brush their teeth.

I also use the e-mails from the college kids to determine who inherits the house. I get at least one e-mail from a kid in every generation. I got that same e-mail with the bad grammar. I wouldn't give him any money for vacation.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that uses that method to choose the heirs/heiresses PeaceFrog Sometimes I'll see them e-mailing their brother or sister instead of the parents and I'm not sure what to do then!
