First of all I am loving Virtual Families..... I downloaded it Saturday morning and I am ashamed to say I sat infront of the computer ALL weekend playing...... My family had their first child yesterday.. And things seem to be going well I was sad that I had to come to work today

My issue with the store is this..... When will the blasted floor repair kit show up LOL I would like to repair my floors..... Does the stock in the store change from day to day or do I need to do something to get it to show up ?

One more thing I had forgotten about as well --- same thing when will water poof tape show up for fixing the leaking hose out side? It seems to not be in the store also ???

They show up whenever the store changes inventory, which should be (if I'm not mistaken) four hours .

To clarify, although the inventory changes every four hours, that doesn't mean the floor repair kit or the tape will turn up immediately. You may have to wait several hours or even days before the particular items you need appear.

If the stock seems like it's stuck, you can press the "R" key on your keyboard to force it to restock.

You should also make sure you have the latest version of the game, as the store restocks much more slowly in the earlier versions.

Buy the kits that DO show up, but don't worry too much about the repairs. The progress you make on the house is handed down from one generation to the next, along with collectibles and the family fortune. It's ok if the house still needs some work in the following generation/s.

I found out last night that my "R" button will NOT restock the store I had to wait for it to restock.... I contribute this to the fact that I am running the game on a Linux Machine using wine www.winehq.org. Wine is used to run windows programs on linux. But the down fall is sometimes things don't always work the way they should if thats the only bug I end up with out of this I will be happy to just wait for the store to restock on its own.

I do want to make sure I have the most up to date ver. though I am running 1.00.05 that is the newest ver right?
