One of my little virtual people grew a beard, and I can't get him to shave! I have included pictures of before and after:

Yeah, don't worry about it! Like I mentioned in the ShoutBox, this just happens when they turn 45+ as some of the men will get gray, bald spots, thinning hair or grow facial hair. As an example, here's some of the men surrounding your peep in the image file

How old is he? Once they reach about 45, they sometime start to grow beards and sometimes their hair thins. By they time they are 50, their hair is usually turning gray/white.

i had that very same guy in one of my families. he grew a beard too.

Wow!!! That's great!!! I'd love to have one with a beard! I've only had bald ones so far.

I've only seen one beard, the rest have just turned gray Just got my first thinning hair one today too!

has anyone noticed that once they grow their beards, if they do anything that requires them to turn their heads (trying for baby, or even laying down in bed to sleep) their beards dissapear? As they turn their head from side to side, one second its there, then its gone, then its their again lol. Didnt know if anyone else noticed this, or if it was just my game.

I had one of my dudes turn 45, and then he turned into a hairy werewolf!

Thanks lyssaria! I have a peep who needed this fix. I thought a while though before doing the fix. When Haylo looked up whilst working at the office, for a split second his hair was his natural bright gloden yellow, and his beard gone. I caught a glimpse of the young Haylo again and that was really quite lovely to get back now and then.
Then I thought how annoying it will get over time, so I bit the bullet and added the fix. Thanks agian!

You're right about that, it would be a nice tribute but this game shows us how life goes on! It'd be funny if it worked that way for us..we don't age as much when we're looking up haha

i dont know... but some of my peeps grew a beard.. it just happens like it always does! it comes in! =D (btw... bennett is the 100% how i look, its like a virtual me! (no lie.) not 99% i wear the same glasses, same hair, and same smile! its like a little me! ^^)

LOL funny beards. It is like life. does he lie on the couch watching TV demanding a cold drink from the mother? LOL

I dont like the beards,they look so odd.Beards look great on human men,but not on the peeps.I noticed some of my peeps shave.

Bennett and Briana were a good couple. I was sad to see them pass. Her parents, Penni and Coop had a terrible marriage. Penni was a pain in the virtual butt. Couldn't get her to do anything.

As for Bryant's beard, I've gotten used to it. Looks kind of cool now. He does have that Bohemian look. Mariana seems to like it. But this is the 13th generation and it's the first time I've seen that happen. They've gone gray but have never grown beards. Weird.


Oh, and the other thing I have noticed is that Bryant doesn't work like he first did. When he took over the house, he worked hard on his career. I didn't marry him off until he was 35 (was hoping for that magical "perfect match") but then he had a career setback. Seems someone filed a complaint and he lost his progress on his 4th level. He lost interest in work after that. Mariana has had 4 kids and progressed farther than he has. Has anyone else seen that happen?

Yes MoonStar I have seen this. Usually if you give them some fruit or candy when they're working on their career, their interest picks back up again. If they stop working before making some money, keep placing them back to work on their career with praise. They can get over this setback and enjoy working again. In fact, I have found that the peeps who enjoy working usually live longer.

I have been rewarding him and making him work. He seems to be getting over his aversion to it now and just received a promotion to the 6th level. He and Mariana are almost on equal footing now. They are both in their early 50's. You know, his grandparents Penni (the horror) and Coop were the first couple that didn't make it to level 8 in their careers. I guess with all the millions they inherited they didn't think they had to work.
