Yay, that's great! Gives me hope. Now that I know how to do backups, I just need the patience and endurance to keep trying. With one game, I restarted twice. The first time, I was not happy that I caved so quickly and settled for the guy. The second time, they wouldn't have a baby. Now, she's on hubby #3 and kid #4, and although he did not get me the 'married for money' or the 'perfect match', he makes her happy! I'll just have to get stern with the next generation.

I've had two perfect matches. Both sets of peeps were soap inventors.

Do it at the beginning. That way, u get more proposals.

I just got my first match too. On accident too. I restarted 5 of my families and my rainbow haired gal, I accidently accepted when I planning on rejecting, and vwalla, he was a "recruiter" just like her. lol

But now I have no rainbow children. *sigh* Cant win.

Sorry you have no more rainbow haired children KCJen I adopted Morgan, my first mowhawk peep and he fell in love an married a blond lady from down the block. The result was 4 dark blond boys with scraggy hair and two red haired twin girls. No further mowhawks. I was so upset when he finally passed away at the age of 65.
However, I have two ther families on the go. One is a completely bald headed peep married to a dark haired beauty - result is all 6 children have dark haired longish shaggy hairs. My third family is a blue spikey haired peep married to a long legged blond bombshell and guess what???

Morgan my mowhawk has been reicarnated!!! wearing exactly the same clothes as in the previous game. So far, he's the only child. There will be more. What do you reckon my chances are of having another blue haired child or a rainbow? :)Not thast I'm that bothered, all are so cute regardless.

I just got my first perfect match: two toy makers. Interestingly enough, they are 'No way' and 'Not really' about having kids, and just sent their only son off with a talent agent!

other soap inventor I had seen through all those careers.

I thought I had a perfect match tonight. Late this morning, Arturo's parents died (at the same time), so he got the house. He's a dress DESIGNER. All day, I've been rejecting proposals. I was going to wait until he was 40 before marrying him off.

Well, about 11 pm I thought I'd check on him one more time. I was tired, and semi-watching my husband play Guitar Hero, when my little guy was reading the email. I saw dress...and I said YES!!!!! Clicked "accept"...waited for the TADA music...nothing! What??? Sigh...she's a dress MAKER!!!

I had many unsuccessful attempts, then I decided to start writing down the careers I see before getting to my BBQ Sauce Creator.. opened up notepad and here is my list: History Tutor

Lyssaria, that is such a great feeling....and only having two proposals, wow! Best I have done [completed all five, yippee] was 4, and thought that was darn magical.
Now I am using that infamous method to get a special partner. Hoping to start a blonde family again, but so far the genes are not being good to me.

Well, I did go through at least 30-40 emails before I decided to start recording the careers I go by to make it more exciting and I only needed 2 further proposals after I made that decision

My record is getting the exact head I wanted in 3 tries for my Rainbow family. I always pair miss Rainbow with the Blue spikey hair.

I heard that your blondes are running into the red area I guess it really is hard to control what you get especially with the way genetics are programmed in the game.. you won't always necessarily get a child that looks like the parents just like in real life.

i have 15 families and only have the perfect match trophy in ONE family! it was completely by accident too! until i learned about the backup ways, i always accepted the first proposal for fear i would lose my family. i accepted and there it was! i had 2 pesto sauce creators! it was awesome i was so excited!

That's very lucky esther! I would always accept the first proposal too until I started using the backups to get the trophies I hope your other 14 families find a perfect match too soon!

thanks Lyssaria! the reason i found out about using the backups is because of my blond family! this generation i had 3 boys and twin girls then i was going to try for #6 and they had the adoption event when i opened them, and the little girl is a red head! we know who WONT get the house

i just changed the name of the folder in my documents! i have LDW 1, LDW 2, and LDW 3. whichever one i want to play, i change the name to LDW. its very easy! i tried to change users and do it that way, but that did something to my game so now the only way i can play is run the installer, but its definitely better then not playing at all!

Yeah, esther is just switching the save files so the families that show up on the slots will switch, not the images. You could do something similar and keep 3 different images folders but it'd probably take up a lot of space!

I always accept the first or second proposal too - I'm scared to wait too long and I hate to have someone rattling around that big old house all alone.

My iPod family got a perfect match in the 4th generation, though - first proposal. I wonder how long it will take for me to get that lucky again?
