Hi All,

Not long been playing virtual families, but i have a couple of questions please. My first little one has just become a child instead of a baby and i cant quite see how to raise her happiness from a little bit blue. unfortunately the store currently has no candy or anything nice to make her happy, and i am at a bit of a loss.

also, is there a way to "make" the family clear up after a meal and then wash the dishes? if i put them near the table they will sit down to eat, and if i put them near the sink they will get a drink or look for snacks (just after they have eaten as well tsk tsk lol)

would appreciate your help

thanks,

lulu x

The child's happiness will raise over time, but if you want to raise it faster and train them a little at the same time, try using the green glove to praise them. Put them on their toys, sandbox, at the desk in the children's room or whatever task you want the kids doing and praise them with the green glove. After a few praises, the happiness meter will move to "Happy"

As for making the family clean up after a meal, it is a random act that you cannot make happen. However, if you use the green glove (again smile ) when you see them do it, they will be more likely to repeat that action in the future. Just be careful... I have overpraised one of my people in the past and they would start cleaning up before anyone had even sat down crazy laugh

Hi lulu! Welcome to the Virtual Families family. smile

The moods of kids, especially, can take a while to change and there's not much else you can do except wait, apart from making sure that she's well-fed.

The peeps have minds of their own and you can't make them clear the table, although they'll usually get around to it eventually. Once you spot someone heading off to clear the table it's a good idea to praise them, to encourage them to do it in future. It's similar with washing the dishes, although if you drop them at the sink a few times, and pick them up if they start the wrong action, they'll probably start to do it; again, praising them when they start will help.

If the sight of the dishes annoys you you can always exit the game and restart it; they will automagically be cleared that way. smile

I personally have always been able to get my people to wash the dishes by dropping them on the sink. The only times I can remember that I needed to repeat the action because they chose to do something else is when they had a kitchen profession.
