If only one parent died, starting a new generation will kick out your old parent and any kid below age 18 from the house.
So glad to see you mentioned this part, serendipity. When I first started, I didn't stop to think about that, and then I felt
SO guilty for kicking a 62-year-old widower out of his own home! There's probably something in the coding that makes it impractical to do this, but it would be nice if the remaining parent could stay for the last few years of their life.
