I apologise if this is OT and rather gruesome, but ajuma's post about the sickly kid got me thinking (never a good idea).

If a child dies early and the parents have had the maximum six kids, does the game allow them to try again? It would certainly be nice if they could.

My instinct is to say no, as apart from anything else, the Families Screen would have problems displaying all seven kids. I'd guess that they'd be treated in the same way as those absent at college, although of course they wouldn't appear as a choice when the time comes to pass the family home to the next generation.

I'm certainly not going to do any experimenting to find out the answer, and I hope that no forum members have had first-hand experience. shocked

P.S. I almost forgot: Congratulations ajuma! grin I'm jealous! wink

YAY!

Triplets at last! grin laugh

In fact, I was getting a little worried about this family and was about to try Baby Boost. After a good start, when Margie adopted a little girl before getting married, and then proceeding to have another baby boy straight after getting married, they failed on several subsequent attempts.

Congratulations Ajuma and Arnie!
Arnie, is that two sets of twins in the generation before?

I'd forgotten about that! It's only one set of twins, actually. Cookie and Atara were twins, but the others were singletons. smile

My experrment was a success! Although my twin didn't have any multiples, his daughter just had twins!

In short... My triplet had twins. My twin had six singles. One of those singles had twins! Yay! laugh

Congratulations arnie! About the sick kids, I've never had one die, thank goodness! I think you're right in that we wouldn't be able to have another one. My sick one is off to college now. I wonder if I choose her for the next generation if she'll continue to be sick?

She will be at the same health level as all new adoptees. In other words, it gets reset, as does happiness level, hunger, etc. That's one reason I don't waste many hand gels or fruits on kids. lol (Sounds mean, doesn't it?)

I understand what you mean BB, but I just couldn't imagine losing one of triplets! I spent so much money on her, but it was worth it...to me anyway! Plus, I got all 4 health trophies from one little girl!

Do you use the hand gel on the peep that was sick, or on others in the family?

Edited by ajuma (06/24/09 08:57 AM)
Edit Reason: asked about gel

I think the hand gel is used for both raising hygiene and health, so it could be useful to use on all peeps including the sick one..haven't tried it myself though!
