Hi,
I have a Virtual Family who are 8th Generation - it's all been pretty smooth sailing until now! The couple I currently have are now 48 and 51 years old and have no children!!! What will happen to the family if they don't have kids? I've tried and tried to get them do it, and they go and do their little jump on the bed but they never get a baby. They both want kids (one says definitely the other says would be nice) and both are healthy, happy etc so I dunno why they can't have babies! I've been trying constantly since they were about 25. Like I say they don't refuse to try for a baby, it just never works. I've tried Baby Boost to no avail! I'll be so sad if my little family just dies out! =(

Pause your game and make a backup copy of the save game file, just in case they are not successful and don't get to adopt. More info in this thread. If she's already 48, you have between 8 and 12 hours until she hits 51. (There have been a couple of players that reported babies after that, but we haven't seen any screenshots.) Just keep trying as often as they are willing. After the female is age 50, you still have a chance of getting an adoption event. So, it is up to you whether you choose to reload your saved game and start again at the current age, or wait until after one has passed away. If they don't have any children to pass the house to, that family will end and you will have to start over. If you need to know how to backup game files, see this post. Good luck! Edit: Ohhh! I AM a blonde. I'm so sorry - It's corrected now. Thanks for the pm.

RandomGirly, I have posted this before but got the feeling that some didn't believe me. I had a lady who had a baby at 54 and I never used baby boost on her.
I would have done a screenshot but didn't know how at the time.
If I were you I'd keep trying because I know without a doubt that it can happen after age 50.
Make sure the fed bar is at least mid way and see if they will both take a shower right befor you have them try. Also, people say perfume helps.
Good luck!
Di

I certainly believe you! I've seen a mother have a baby at 53 myself. 54 is the oldest I've seen mentioned in the forum, so, if there is a cut-off age it might be 55, since that's when the peeps slow down a lot and tend to start ignore things like putting away groceries and celebrations.

Arnie, I'm so happy I'm not the only one because I was beginning to think that I was. ; ) I also seem to be one of few who have a lot of multiples. I'm not so lucky with bugs, leaves, socks, wrappers and weeds. lol
BB, I understand why you wouldn't put it in the guide without proof. I could have gotten you the proof but at the time I was new to the game and to tell you the truth I hadn't been to the board enough to know that 54 was unusual. I wrote in my previous post that I would have gotten a screenshot if I'd known how, but after I thought about it, I probably wouldn't have because I didn't really know that people were wondering about the cutoff age. The only thing I thought when she had the baby was, *Wow, she's the same age as me and I couldn't imagine having a baby at my age. Poor woman.* lol.

I've had a couple who had a Baby when she was 52 and him 51! Again I didn't use baby boost - their other kids had all grown up and left and I was just curious to see if they could have more at that age! So I believe you too, I'm not very technically savvy so I wouldn't have a scooby about doing a screen shot! I've tried perfumes, showers, nice big meals, everything! They obviously just can't have babies! She's hit 50 now so chances are really slim, but I'm hanging in there! =)
