I'm playing four families, one is only in its first gen, two others have had one set of triplets each by the third generation, the other family has seen no triplets yet (also in its third gen) but is making up for that by having three sets of twins.

I did do a little experiment, and thought I was getting somewhere when one of my twins grew up and promptly had a set of twins himself, but then he followed that up with three singletons.

Then my control family of all single births turned around and had a set of trips themselves, just to spite me *shakes fist*.

I'm on my 6th generation now with all of my families. I haven't had twins or triplets since my 1st and 2nd generation! One family had triplets, twins, and then a single, all in one generation. Another family had two sets of twins. Now it's been 4 generations with singles.

My experiment failed! frown

My triplet had twins and my twin had... 5 singles! There goes my theory about genetics :P

I've never had any triplets. For several generations I haven't had any twins, although pairs have been born earlier in three of my games. This morning I had a pair of twins in one family, and this evening I had another pair to a different family. I've also had the "soft knock" at the door twice recently, one boy and one girl.

Now for those triplets to appear!

First family and I have triplets the very first time they came together. Three girls named Sprite, Akila and Katette. Both mom and dad's preferences were set at 'Not really' when it came to wanting kids, so you can imagine the shock! shocked grin

I'm going to my 10th generations - no triplets so far.

Only 4 singletons and 2 adopted ones on my 9th.

Just for the record, I tried everything with this couple. Before the honeymoon I got them elated, fed, gave them both babyboost, applied cologne on both as well.

When they went to the kissing part - nothing! Not even a single baby.

Let's see what happens on my next generation, but I thing this is completely random.

Think now I'll let nature takes its course and just go on trying without experiments. frown

Yeah, I think it IS pretty random. I've got twins (2 sets) and triplets (3 sets) but none in the same family. I've tried the baby boost, NOT using the bb, doing the doctor consult, the perfume, waitng until they don't argue...everything! In real life, I think the baby boost is a little more effective! wink

I GOT THEM!!! I GOT THEM!!! BOTH of them! Twins and triplets in the same generation!!! (sorry...had to brag!) blush

I started a new game with a "rainbow girl" and a brown-haired man, both of whom had $15 careers. They worked a bit, ate, and took a shower. Lilia was 24 so I thought I should get going with the babies. First time, no arguing, just jumped on the bed, perfect timing and TRIPLETS!! Three girls. Only problem is that one of the girls has been sick most of her life, she's had the grave illness and the infection AND hiccups AND a sore throat. She just about recovered from the grave illness when she was 9 (up to a bit weak) when she was hit with the infection. She went all the way down to extremely weak again. I've spent more money on this kid! When mom and dad only earn $15 a day, a $175 consult is pretty pricey...and Trishiania (something like that) has had 2 of them!

When the triplets were 9 I decided that it was a good time for another baby. Along comes a single, a son. 4 years later, I thought I'd better get going as Lilia was 38. Again no arguing, and ...tada...twin girls! They look just like their sisters. I was saying over and over "I don't believe it...I don't believe it....OMG....I don't believe it.....

I've never done a screen-shot before, but I think I'll try today. I'm so proud of this family!!!
