At night time, I try to put all my little people to bed, the adults are no problem, although they wake up every few mins and wander about even when they still exhausted or tired.... my kids however will not go to bed and run about the house at night when the parents are asleep.... how do i get them all to go to bed and stay there til they refreshed?

Also, it's hard to get them out of depression, whats the best way to get them out of depression?

Thanks in advance.

If you have the game open, your little peeps think you want something from them or want to play with them. They will sleep best if you close the game and leave them undisturbed for 6-8 hours. You don't even have to put them to bed before closing, but of course you can if you like. If they are tired during the day and you want to play, naps actually increase energy levels more than going to bed. Meals and exercise (if they are not exhausted) will help also.

Things to raise happiness levels are: praising (green glove x2 for an action you want to encourage,) candy, fruit, buying them things and making sure they have enough food. Even giving them a bag of groceries improves happiness. Some enjoy gathering collectibles and that will raise happiness. A lot of socks, wrappers, weeds and dirt smudges will decrease happiness. If the depression is not due to a death in the family, you should make sure they are not sick and don't need an antibiotic.

More information in this post and this guide.

It seems like they go to sleep eventually even if you don't put them to bed, don't they? I finally gave up trying to put the kids to bed if they weren't tired, and in the morning they seem to have just as much energy as the ones who did go to bed.

If you have multiple kids, sometimes if you put a parent in the kid's bedroom doorway, they will "call children to go to bed". That saves you having to put them in bed one by one. Then once they are all tucked in, close the game, as BayouBlonde explained above.

Ahh, that's how you get them to call the kids, I thought it was just a random thing. Thanks.

It doesn't always work. Just keep putting the parent in the doorway and hope that option comes up. It works the same as for calling the children to the table (put parent by table) or calling them to brush their teeth (put parent in bathroom doorway).

Yes, they will put themselves to bed when the game is closed and it is night-time for them.

In my opinion, they actually prefer for you not to be there. I should say, in my experience they get more rest when the game is not open during their night-time and putting them to bed doesn't actually DO anything. If you reopen the game later, they will be in random spots, just like always (even if it's only one minute later.)

But what I mean when I say I feel like they prefer for you not to be there when they sleep - if you think about it, could you sleep with someone watching you like a hawk? Especially if you think a big hand is going to come from the sky at any moment and snatch you up? hehe

Good point there BB smile I wouldn't be able to sleep!

You don't have to put them in bed either way, unless you purposely enjoy tucking them in. As soon as you go to the menu or quit the game, the actions your little peeps were performing are canceled out.

For instance, if you want one family to sit down to a meal and then check on the other family mid-meal, you'll come back seeing your peeps walking around hungry. It's almost as if they're thinking "Okay, it's safe he/she's not watching us anymore!" and do whatever they please.
