I have 3 tablets left... next time I won't finish the rubble until I have them all collected. I am getting fusterated waiting for them to pop up, I tell you...

I don't think leaving the rubble unfinished has any effect on how often tablet pieces show up. Does anybody have experiences to relate, that I might be incorrect?

With my very first village, I did not get the last 2 tablets until well after finishing the rubble. You have to keep a constant eye on the area or you will miss it and have to wait a long time again. I think that is what makes it seem like it takes forever and may never happen.

Now, I am saving the rubble until there is nothing else that needs close watching; I will let you know how much of a difference it makes with the very constant watching. Anyone else already try this?

Also, there are a couple of other reasons why tablet pieces aren't spotted so often.
  1. They are the same colour as the rubble so have to be spotted by the sparkles;
  2. There is probably less time spent right at the bottom by most people when sweeping the map for collectibles.

I've found that the number pad is very good for sweeping most common areas of the map - the beach, turtleshells, and tablets are all mostly inside one of the number-pad zooms. It's always my first step, before sweeping around by hand - and probably why feathers almost always are the last or second-to-last thing I complete.

Leo - my reccomendation would be to run TWO villages, side by side. Get them to fishing, and forget other considerations. Then just spend a certain amount of time in each one each day - that way you'll be sure it's not because you spent more time in one than in the other, or more time sweeping collectibles in a village that wasn't in danger.

Additionally, I'd be leery of trusting the results unless you repeated the test at least once, preferably twice with both villages - a random distribution is not an equal distibution. This means that using a different methodology, even if your chances are higher, does NOT guarantee that the pieces will appear faster. In any game, at any point, you might get lucky and get every tablet peice in the course of one hour; in another, you might not find a single one for months. This might occur even with all the circumstances exactly equal.

I'm still having a problem finding 2 blue corals and 1 shell.
I got the feathers a long time ago.

I always get the feathers after the turtle-shells and coral, because the first places I look are the turtle-shell and coral locations - I know where to look, and the locations are hotkeyed on the numberpad. Feathers, well, they can be anywhere, I have to sweep the whole map for those.

The first responder changed the heading--inadvertently pasting a different thread's name.

I've just changed it again, to show it can be done.
