I really, really hate spending points on the wrong Tech for what I want to do. So I would have liked to see here and in the Guide the requirements for Puzzle 9, which only hint at the exact method, that I found on another site: (BtW: I don't figure mentioning the statue is any kind of spoiler. That's got to be about as explicit as any silhouette symbol for the 48 VV Puzzles so far.)

The requirements for the Statue Puzzle were listed in the text file and the pdf file listed in this post.

It depends on what you mean by mechanisms. You can check the files for the information you seek.

The requirements are indeed listed there, more completely than above. And yes, before the required actions, including where they need to be done, which is what I meant by mechanisms.
